A TED Talk about creating true happiness:
When I was in middle school, I started receiving letters from Harvard. No, these letters weren't recruiting me to their prestigious university. These envelopes contained multiple choice questions asking me about my health, feelings, hobbies and regular activities. I thought they were just work with no reward, but my mom would continue to push me to fill them out year after year.
It wasn't until this video came out that I started to understand the purpose of the Harvard study. I had no idea it was going on for over 75 years. I had no idea I was part of such a great idea and commitment to continue seeing it through for all these years. I have to agree, however, that the study was dead on accurate. Last week I was at a concert by The Killers in St. Paul. The lead singer, Brandon Flowers, opened with this quote by Ernest Hemmingway that set the tone for a great show. I thought I would share it. "There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self." A long while ago, a great warrior faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision which insured his success on the battlefield. He was about to send his armies against a powerful foe, whose men outnumbered his own. He loaded his soldiers into boats, sailed to the enemy's country, unloaded soldiers and equipment, then gave the order to burn the ships that had carried them. Addressing his men before the first battle, he said, "You see the boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win! We now have no choice--we win--or we perish! They won.
-Taken from Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill Research shows that spending more time in nature improves your health, well-being, and leads to making better environmental decisions. This amazing compilation shows what training and dedication allow people to do. Even though everything looks perfect in the video, there were many outtakes and injuries sustained while filming. Martyn Ashton actually sustained a severe spinal injury from a fall during one of his stunts. Take care of your spine and it will take care of you.
#chiropractic #spinalwellness #chiroelite #eauclaire #wisconsin #chippewavalley A huge thank you to all the people who celebrated our clinic's ribbon cutting with us! It was great to meet so many nice members of the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce and others from around the area. Our reception area was packed with people even though the weather was nasty outside. We even managed to recruit a good majority to take an outdoor picture for the cutting of the ribbon!
